We nurture win-win awwward projects

In the Studio Of The Year (User’s Choice) section, the Miami-based digital studio The First The Last won. Over the past year, the team submitted three projects for evaluation: the website of the architectural bureau MONO, the design studio YøDezeen, and the Asian cuisine restaurant Spicy NoSpicy. The award was given for the studio's overall activity.

When the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war began, our studio struggled to manage the flood of misinformation from fake sources. To address this, we created a website called The Other Side Of Truth. Our goal wasn’t to prove a point but to let people form their own opinions by comparing perspectives. We gathered genuine comments, messages, and social media posts from both Ukrainians and russians, offering a balanced view of the situation.

The CEO of Babyn Yar, Maksym Rabinovych, believes that the martyrology is "on the one hand, a memorial platform, and on the other, a tool for communicating with the world, which must finally accept the challenge of collective responsibility for the ongoing war." The project received the Red Dot Award in the field of communication design: Brands & Communication Design 2022 in the "Social Campaign" category. The digital agency The First The Last assisted in its development.

We designed a website for Moralia, a luxury furniture designer, with a strong emphasis on animations. Transitions, hover effects, and photo reveals were central to the site’s dynamic experience. The result is a site that not only captivates but also engages users through thoughtful animations. This project has been featured in Communication Arts magazine, the leading trade journal for visual communications and the largest creative magazine globally.
